Hello and welcome to my Eportfolio!

Currently, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor and Counselor in the Counseling and Wellness Center and College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida. Additionally, I teach in UF's College of Education Counselor Education M.S./Ed.S. program. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education. I am licensed in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern.

My specializations include Marriage & Family Therapy, Geriatric Counseling, Child & Adolescent Counseling, Play Therapy, and Substance Abuse Counseling.

 

As a Scholar-Practitioner, I serve individuals, organizations, and communities through my roles as a counselor intern, counselor educator,  supervisor, consultant, researcher, and social advocate.

I successfully defended my dissertation and graduated!

​

  • It was an honor and privilege to be a visiting scholar to teach Cross-Cultural Leadership at La Salle University in Bogota, Colombia July 2018.

  • Serving as a LGBT Aging Interest Network council member for the American Society on Aging.

  • I was awarded an Emerging Leader position with the International Association of Marriage and Family Therapy for 2018-2019.

  • It was an honor and privilege to be a visiting scholar to teach Human Rights and Social Justice at La Salle University in Bogota, Colombia between June 5-16, 2017.
